Mission Statement 

The Old School is part of the Acorn Care & Education Group and consists of two small schools situated in the Kent villages of Capel le Ferne and St Margaret’s-at-Cliffe. Our St Margaret's Centre caters for Key Stage 4 (15-17 yrs of age) whilst our Capel Centre is a Key Stage 3 (8-14 yrs of age) site. The main office is situated at the Capel Centre, Capel le Ferne. The Old School benefits from its sister Acorn school, Heath Farm, at Charing Heath near Ashford, Kent with a sharing of facilities and resources that benefit both the staff and pupils of both establishments.

Our purpose is to enable all pupils to reach their full academic potential, while fostering positive growth in social/emotional behaviours, self discipline and attitudes. We aim to create a caring, friendly, family atmosphere in which our pupils can feel secure and happy. They can then develop the necessary skills and confidence to face up to any challenge - academic, physical or moral and use these personal qualities to enhance their chances of success in life.
